Backyard In Progress

Along the side nearest the filter, we put in a Mexican palm, and some yucca and agave, along with a Bird of Paradise. It was tough digging, which we later recognized was the DE build up. There were some very stunted and gnarled oleanders that we had to pull out first. That's the stump you see in the first and second photos.



BTW - We do hope to get rid of the railroad tie wall hiding the filter eventually.



The tree overhanging the wall is a citrus though what kind we're not sure. They look like big overblown tangerines, smell like lemons, but taste like crap. Pithy, mealy and not sweet.
